How is the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling – BACP Approved Practitioner Qualification different from the existing Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling?

The Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling – BACP Approved Practitioner Qualification has a few additional centre requirements to meet BACP approval. The qualification must be delivered by a blended delivery method. Candidates must undertake a blended placement with a maximum of 49 online/telephone client hours. All tutors delivering and assessing will be members of BACP and all candidates will be student members of BACP. Both should agree to work within the BACP ethical framework and understand that they are subject to the BACP complaints procedure. Centres will provide the opportunity for candidates to undertake the BACP Certificate of Proficiency (COP) during the course and this becomes an additionally assessed element of the qualification. Candidates qualifying with the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling – BACP Approved Practitioner Qualification will have automatic entry to the BACP Register, and their certificates will show both the CPCAB and BACP logo. A fee of £25 per candidate is charged by BACP in addition to the CPCAB registration fee.
